Torque on clutch
06/12/09 at 15:33:04

I was just wondering, how can I torque the center bolt of the clutch basket without buying any special type of clutch tool? I can just tighten it with an impact wrench, but then it won't be to the specified value. Just wondering.

I use 2 pennies and a hemostat my Dad had from his WWII days to jams the gears and then I tighten or loosen both the clutch basket nut and crank gear nut. Max

I went down to the local MC shop and borrowed the right tool.
I didn't want to risk damaged gears because of so much torque.
