Hey Bell...

Here's the Kelley Blue Book and the N.A.D.A sites for checking your bike's resale value according to your location...

Hope this helps...

Check Craig's List in your area and surrounding areas for prices.  You might consider selling your bags separately either here or on eBay.  The bags won't add much, if anything, to the price but may help the bike sell more easily if you're asking top dollar.  Of course, how high you price it depends on how quickly you want it to sell.

Be sure you have the title handy and ready to sign over, take only cash, and have the oil changed & clean, the bike clean, tires aired up, and everything else ready for a great viewing and test ride.   Look at the Craig's List listings for others' requirements for test riders...insist on seeing any motorcycle driver's license if needed in your state, see the cash, and maybe hold the cash, or hold their car keys, or whatever.  That's all for you to decide on and work out with the potential buyer.
