Come to a stop, keep applying front and/or rear...gently let out the clutch and let then engine die Front there...you figure out the rest. Never had a backfire once with this method... Can anyone tell me if this causes any harm?

I seem to get one pop changing from 1st to second and two pops changing from second to third, what a blast!!!! It's all part of the character of the bike. lol

If I'm coming up on a car or group of cars sometimes I squeeze one off to announce my presence. Backfires may also save lives. It's always good to keep one in the chamber...

AWESOME! i saw a duelly pull up to an echo, point his exhaust near his window and fill it with black smoke....i would have loved to pop one off in HIS window...but his truck was about 4 foot off the ground lol

I can usually get mine to pop if I pull in the clutch and goose the throttle a little. I haven't noticed any exhaust leaks, at least not obvious ones, so this may mean the carb need different jets. It runs ok anyway, and the header hasn't started getting any darker than it was with the old muff, so I'm in no hurry to start tweeking on it quite yet.
