Why buy one of these for a hundred when it's just a used HD seat and we've told you how to make a bracket.
Used HD seats go for $30 to 50 and the instructions are in the tech sect.

Besides, you're looking at an item being sold by one of the two guys we have warned everyone about, flightsimshop. Do NOT buy from him or Kwikbay, they are crooks.

OK,OK,OK I won't buy from them! BUt tell me how you really feel . . . Just looking for an appropriate seat curvature for the frame. I can make a mount out of whatever, just do not want a huge gap under the seat in the middle. I saw sportsters work, any special year? Looking for a rider seat as well (either two piece or one, going for comfort and ability to pick up hot hitchhikers.)

Late model sportster
But having one, and you want comfort, I'd go for a D'jim special.

(Cue drum roll...)

Tada!

My bike looks a little different now but this is what it looks like on a mostly stock bike.  On the 1 thru 10 mod scale it's about a 3.  Pretty easy.  Only catch is figuring out whether to keep or lose the hump in the pillon area of the seat pan that sits above the rectifier and modding accordingly.  Guy (Serenity3743) got to sit on it today and was surprised at how comfy it was.

The how-to is somewhere in this thread:

Here's Jay's two-piece seat version:

The Diamond Jim seat mod should be in a class all by itself, with sparkly lights and an orchestra. It's the best single thing I have EVER done to this bike. I am not being too dramatic when I say, if your seat is a PITA, and you can only do one mod to it, then this is the mod you want to do. It improved comfort (off the scale!), improved handling, and I'm not sure, but I think some hair is regrowing in my bald spot!!! Cheesy
Seriously, a big +1 for the DJ seat mod. It's a sure thing.
