Muffler? not to my ears

After putting the rebuilt engine in, I wanted less restriction so I bought a fishtail muffler from JC Whitney. After many swear words and sweat, I got it mounted. MUFFLER? IT DOESN'T MUFFLE ANYTHING!
It sounded like my old Matchless racer from the sixties. The one with the reverse cone megaphone tuned exhaust. It didn't seem to increase the power either so why put up with the racket.
100 bucks for muffler and mounts wasted.  Back to stock.

If I would have know what you were looking for I have a couple those here from the stash that Jim gave me with the sidecar rig. You would have only been out the postage then. If anyone else is interested I do have a some extra exhaust extensions chrome plated not mufflers. PM me Max
