When you remove the cover, what is the best way to remove the wires embedded without damage? When you replace them into the cover, what do you use to reseal them? Gene

Not too sure what you're asking here.  But they are secured to the inside of the cover by a few bolts.  Remove the bolts and the wires will come free along with the stator assembly which is also secured to the cover with a few bolts.  When/if you transfer them to a new cover, bolts the stator assembly as well as the pieces holding the wires to the inside of the cover.  There is a rubber grommet that passes thru the alt./stator cover and I would put some high temp silicone sealant on the grommet to make sure it seals up and doesnt leak oil.  I did this same method when I replaced my cover a few weeks ago and still bone dry.
