We'll the time has come...
Corbin has accepted my wife and I's offer to borrow our bikes for R&D.

We will be riding one LS650(mine) and one S40(hers) about 2000 miles and leave them with Corbin in CA for as long as they need them.

I trust they are looking into making a couple of seats, I hope one with a backrest. We are also hoping  they intend to make fairings and hardbags. The nice folks there are quite busy, and have yet to get back with me on the specifics of getting our bikes back to us, best I can figure out it will cost about $1K. I hope we get the same value in nice accessories, that would make it worth it.

This trip is also our summer vacation, so plenty of sightseeing and tourist traps along the way! Any members along I40/66,  we'd love to stop by on our way through and chat; we'll be traveling in Mid-June.

I hope all of our time and money (travel gear gets pricey) is well spent on brining some nice accessories to the Savage community!  

We plan on bringing our laptop and posting some pics and such along the way. We're going to try to stick with about 300 miles per day, give or take a bit as sights take us here and there. We figure 7 days to get us to CA from East Texas, but we may end up towing the bikes the last day or so if we meet up with family.

Very cool news!  Can't wait to see what comes of this, including the pictures from the road trip!
