So after all the mods I've done and maintenance work she fired up on the first try!!!!! It sounds and feels SOOOO MUCH better. So here's a recap of what I did and pics will be up shortly hopefully...
-Fix plug cap leak w/ new style plug and SEALANT
-Fix crack in stator cover with a new cover
-Cleaned and sealed the inside of the gas tank with Bill Hirsch products
-Raptor petcock
-Cleaned and re-jetted carb w/ Lancer's kit (52.5 pilot, 2 washers as needle spacers and 152.5 main)
-K&N style pod filter
-Sportster 1200 muffler w/ 1/2" hole drilled in baffle
-Black header wrap
-Air box removal
-Big Crank sealed battery
-Ed L's 4" forward controls and fix damage done by PO wreck
-DiamondJim's seat cut-down mod and magic poo box relocation
-10" mini ape handlebars
-Side-mount license plate w/ maltese cross brake/plate light
-General cleaning and wire tidying up
So all left to do is dial it in with idle mix screw (even though it ran great w/o backfiring) I feel I can get it to run a bit better, and the Verslavy cam chain club tensioner mod as well as a new cam chain when they arrive and if I need it. Havent popped the clutch cover to check it (only 6,8xx miles). Any questions or suggestions?
P.S. pics coming shortly...
