Reply #30 - 07/21/12 at 11:21:32 I know what you mean, and I also thought about it, I thought putting like an aerodynamic alumminum cap closing that open space, but unfortunatly there's nothing that can be done cause it I close that open space , the stand won't come down.

Just a piece from the bottom running forward at an angle, anything to allow it to skip off an obstruction, instead of grab it. Pretty isnt even an issue, anything to avoid a sudden stop, making you an armed ( & legged) missile.

Reply #33 - 07/21/12 at 12:49:14 I didnt mean move the whole thing, I meant extend the tunnel far enough to clear whatever it is that pokes out that keeps you from closing the end off,, but if youve got 7 inches of clearance & are aware of whts down there,, heck,, its probably just fine,,

I have done some experimental work on a similar stand, but I can't roll it back/lift it enough to get it up onto the stand. How high is your stand from the floor to the pivot shaft? It looks like about 7 inches or so. Thanks for sharing.
