What MileAge is on your Savage?

This is my current speedo reading on Mr Thud (my 1986 LS650)...Get a load of this...

Apparently, it had a cam chain replacement just over 1 year ago.

I have bought a gasket and will investigate the dreaded cam adjuster status tomorrow. Sounds...'ok'.. but then I have several CB750 hondas..and may have got used to rattly cam chains..

Hey wonder if it has been round the clock before! Im the 4 owner..I think.

BTW..those are Australian Kilometers.. not quite as big as American ones Wink

Nope. I have a Verslavy that went to the 2nd hole at about 12,000 (guessing.. the records are here somewhere).
I haven't opened it up since then.
I have the nitrided cam chain (from the 1st buy) and a set of gaskets.
But, it hasn't made noise beyond what I think is normal, and it runs great. It's a fair guess that the tensioner is at it's limit and it's just a matter of time before it gets noisy and I'll have to go in.
Until then.. I RIDE.
