S40 Spark Plug Torque Spec
03/15/09 at 06:27:05
I cannot find any reference to the torque spec for the spark plug on the 05 S40. Anyone have this information? Help is appreciated, for I have recently stripped two fasteners for the head to cylinder and just finished making helicoil repair. I haven't put the head back on as of yet, but am gun shy on tightening anything without a torque wrench.

I couldn't find one either, just the usual "1/2 turn past finger tight" for a new plug and "1/8 turn past finger tight" for a used plug.
FWIW most of my previous bikes were about 9.5 ft-lb to 12 ft-lb, 114 in-lb to 144 in-lb. I wouldn't go much higher than that...
