hello everyone
new girl here my boyfriend just did a rejet and filter change to a cone filter and new muffler on my 06 S40 but he was wondering what to do with the breather tube now that the airbox is gone

They make small filters that can go into the tube. Looks like small cone filters.
Remember to keep it above the engine. There are warm oil vapors coming out of the engine and you will get oil condensate. On the stock airbox, there is a drain tube to handle this.

thank you very much
my boyfriend now is just working on the nylon washer mod to rid my baby of the back firing he removed the stock washer and replaced it with two smaller ones but still backfires on decelarration

While the white spacer may help with the backfire it is usually a last resort. Usually backfire on decel is caused by an air leak in the exhaust. Retorq your header bolts or replace the gasket there. Also check the muffler clamp. A few have found holes in their muf. And you can use a lit candle to find leaks, the flame will move around when you've found one.
Do you have a Kerpow on shut down too?

Welcome aboard gayla28! It's nice that you have a boyfriend willing to wrench on the bike, but don't let him have all the fun. Insist that you want to do some of this stuff also. Now get in there and chip some fingernails!
