ok so i went on a toy ride this weekend with about five hundred or so bikes and me an my crew got caught at on of the only red lights that the cops and firefighters didn't have blocked so we had to do a bit of catching up which i don't mind because it give me a reason to show off a bit. we went around 80 mpg for about ten to fifteen minutes. when we got to the end i noticed my speedo had quite showing my speed the neutral light and high beams light still work . I was just wondering if this had happened to anyone.

No, but just a WAG you either broke the speedometer cable or, more likely, the connection on the speedometer end wasn't tight and vibrated off. Either way, just pull the tank and either reattach or replace.
