Back rest / sissy bar combo

Back rest / sissy bar combo: I have an idea I want to work on over the winter.

I want to make a back rest that attaches to my side rails. I want to be able to move in from the front when I’m riding solo (99%) of the time to the back when my daughter wants to go for a ride. So I need two sets brackets: one to attach to my side rails nearer the front and one to attach near the rear. Anyone every tackle this?  I bought some flat steel and did some inital test and I think its doable.

Are you thinking of something like this...a drivers backrest in addition to the sissybar?

I want the back rest to be held on with a couple bolts and easily moved to the back when I want a sissy bar. One or the other, not both.
