Wow, Thanks for sharing lil' Bob with us! Love the paint job and the back end, looks really good.

What type of paint did you use on the rear shocks?

Looks good indeed.  Well done.  I personally can't get into the ape hangers but if they work for you that is excellent.  The paint job looks very nice.

thanks for the comments

you can view entire process here, sorry but i donīt have much time to put it here... so i left here the link for a portuguese forum if you want to know anything feel free to contact

http://forum.motonline.pt/forum_posts.asp?TID=31209

before i paint the rear shocks, i have to remove the all the crome and put a normal metal paint base then i paint the rear shocks with the normal hi resistance paint without gloss you can find in a car paint shop, donīt paint it with poliuretane paint finish(i paint the frame, gas tank, and rear fender with it) because the paint will crack

rear fender is a stock flat fender that i buy in motorcycle custom shop, but it was to big... we cut and adjust it to fit in rear wheel

sorry my english, isnīt very good in technical terms, but feel free to ask, iīll do my best to answer

the only modification that i see to the frame is, the frame rails are cut off, where they went over the stock fender. correct? for some reason it looks alot lower. i wish more people with customs would post here. there are lots of cool bikes being built, and were not getting to see them. thanks for posting.

we cut the frame rails to close the angle of rear shocks, the rear shock at top donīt stand in original position, we put it a litle more to front ...when you close the angle of rear shock you can low the rear 5/6 cm or even more, but you have to restrain the rear shocks action (in my case their work only 3cm) because if you had it to loose the fender hit the frame and you have problems

we take off the air filter and put a conic K&N filter  and we use  the air filter box to put inside the all the wirings and electrical stuff, if you look carefully you have noticed that...i dont have controls in ape hanger...i had controls on right side panel...

i donīt know if you understand what i mean Smiley

thanks

best regards

Mario
