Definately stick around.  I'd love to hear a comparison between the Savage and Virago 750 when you get around to it.   Good luck with the new machine.  Smiley

Please do stay. A comparrison would be nice, as Sockmonkeygirl said. Besides, "Once a Savage, always a Savage.", you never know when you'll get the itch to single cylinder it.

That's a good Idea. I'm sure there some people out there that would like to know if it was worth the trouble trading bikes. I'll give a honest report back to you all.

I don't know if they ever fixed it,but..Be prepared to put starter gears/shim kit in it.If the starter slips, and just whirrs that's the problem, and if it still has 2 petcocks plan on rebuilding them.Good luck.I liked my '82 Virago bobber alot once I got the couple problems fixed.

to bad d.a. died   i would have liked to see the whole series as a movie.  i thought they did a good job.

for those who may not know "the answer"

it comes from hitchhikers guide to the galaxy.  a british writer, started as a radio series, then on the the bbc.  then the books  and finally the movie, then the author douglass adams died.

all hail deep thought.
