So, I made a several hundred mile trek home yesterday and back to school today just to ride it. SO worth it even though I only had an hour of daylight, my car's tire got annihilated by a pothole, and the fact that I'm now driving my dad's truck while my car is in the shop for a service engine light (and tire).

I still feel like a schoolgirl with a crush and I'm acting like one. I can't wait to ride it again! (If I keep up like I am, my girlfriend is going to be jealous!)  Grin

Wow, looking back, that trip was crappy. However, the ends were well worth the means! (Aside from that dang tire bill!)

Nice bike. Just 1 problem. The pipes are blue/yellow enough. Smiley

That was mostly lighting. It's slightly yellow right up at the engine, but otherwise it's all still lookin good. The muffler is whistling though. I think it's done.

Also, the oil leak was that bolt issue. (Woo!) It's still unresolved and now I still have to wait for another 10 days to fix that and ride it again...  :'(

Whistling is normal.  Sort of sounds like an old VW bug just over idle....

My dad's S40 whistles slightly but mine is up there, sometimes up with the engine itself in regular riding. Is that still normal?

Until I switched to a Dyna take-off, I could hear the whistle thru the helmet at speed occasionally.

Is it normal?????....  are you sure it's the muffler???  With a helmet on, it's hard to zreo in on what is making the noise.   But... I think it's fairly normal......

I'm pretty sure, but I don't have it here to double check. Oh well, I suppose if it's not posing a problem I shouldn't worry about it.
