wicks YaBB Newbies Offline I love YaBB 1G - SP1! Posts: 40 Milwaukee Gender:	Highway Pegs 08/11/08 at 19:36:48 Anyone have them? Is the Savage big enough to install them? Anyone have a picture of their bike with the pegs installed? Just did a 2K trip to South Dakota and highway pegs would have helped immensley, that is the only mod I;d like to do before my next trip. Seat wasn't to bad, I was able to recline a bit and rest on my duffle bag behind me.

There are hundreds of pics of the different things people have put on their bikes, including highway pegs. The Wingerline highway bar seems to be preferred over the OEM, but last I heard everyone was out of them.

I have the oem engine guard and it works great for mounting highway pegs. it won"t protect your bike if you should happen to drop it but thats not why I got it. I got it specifically for a mounting point for highway pegs. Makes a big difference on the longer rides. There are alot of pegs you can get. I went with some kuryakyn offset dually pegs. They were kind of expensive but they look good and are very comfortable. Here's a pic.

If you like the way it looks, I can crawl under and see if there's a manufacture name/number on the bar. I bought mine used, and it came like this. I do use the pegs, and they are quite comfy.

I like that setup. Wish you knew where the PO got that. I read once of a guy who just mounted a set of handlebars to the frame downtube. Covered the barends with thick rubber handgrips, and road on. No pics, but it sounded similar to what your setup looks like. I always wondered what that fellow's rig would look like, and now I know. Thanks sockmonkeygirl.

Really helped with the long distance comfort of the bike. I just got tired of running my shins into the pegs every time I tried to get around the bike in the garage... Fortunately, they do fold up into a fairly compact storage position.
