I just just ordered a McCuff just to see if it works.
All joking aside Bill, I think you will like it. With the pump nozzles we have in TN, it allows me to just hold until the 1st click and then I have the perfect amount of gas in my tank to get me 'full' but not overfilled to where gas leaks out of the cap while I'm riding. Especially when riding with a group and jaw-jackin at the gas pump.
I can pay more attention to my bad jokes and don't have to be heads down focused so as to not splatter gas all over my boots.

RE the portable plastic containers. There is a sign on most pump or pump islands saying to fill them on the ground not in the bed of the PU/trailer or trunk of the car. Also any small airplane pilot knows to clip a bonding wire between the plane tank and container when refilling or your plane can be burned to the ground as a result. Some snow machine drivers have also found out the hard way when refueling hot sleds from a jostled plastic container. Max

Gas nozzle aids have been around for a long while. Here's one that looks good for quite a bit less $$ than the McCuff (takes up less room, too):
E-Z Fill
I don't own one, but might if I moved back to CA.
