One shot deal unless the dealer removes the head. While not a walk in the park, the job is not beyond the capability of a near total klutz of a bike mechanic. If you're good, a few hours at most. Took me three days, working on and off, including a final pull of the tank to reconnect the speedometer.
The instructions in the tech section are quite good.
I would consider oil leaks to be a price dropper, but not a purchase stopper.
