Finally managed to post pictures of my bike
06/22/08 at 20:56:20

Well here's my first shot at posting pictures using photobucket as a middle-man.

Aha it worked. Wink  Well that's my Thumper.  She just turned over 8,000 miles yesterday.

Strip it back to stock, knock the right rear signal off & glue it back together a few times, dent & scrape the tank a little, ( all that stuff was the kid) Put a small knee dent in the left side of the tank, where I caught it as it rolled off the stand in a way to tilted drive & scrape the bottom half off the pegs, & thats MINE!

Great looking bike. Is that the Kurayaken bag others have talked about.  That built in backrest looks cozy for cruising around.

Nice work.

Oh it has it's battle scars.  I've replaced 2 of the turn signals, one of the foot pegs, and there's a nice little beauty mark on the right side of the tank ... took us a while to get to know each other.  Wink

Yes, that's the Kuryakyn Tombstone bag.  It is sooo comfortable while riding.  To get it to fit I had to take off the passenger back pad.  It actually packs pretty well too.  One of my better investments for the bike.

Very cool! That engine guard IS really tiny, haha... I thought there was more to it when I saw one in person.

What muffler is that? Smiley

Yep, I told ya. ha ha  I laughed when I took it out of the box.  Don't know what they were thinking with that accessory?  Well, I guess it does guard the engine, ya just expect a little more than just that.  Oh well.

The muffler is the screamin' eagle type that I found on ebay for $39.99.  Search on "S40, Screamin' Eagle".  It's a nice pipe with a deep sound and pretty easy to install.  I'm sure there are much better pipes out there, but I'm cheap and it works just fine.  Cool

I'd still like to get the guard, just to mount some pegs to... But I thought it was bigger than that, hah.

And I just picked up a Dyna muffler from a member here for $15 shipped! Hard to beat that price. Smiley Hopefully it'll sound ok. I need to get the jetset and performance filter while I'm doing that.

Mayes, I rode right past Gallipolis on Saturday ... twice.  I was riding with our local chapter of the Southern Cruisers and we went on a ride up to Mt. Alto & Mason and then back to Huntington.  I'll PM ya a few days before we are headed up that way again and maybe you can hook up with us for a while.

I got my heat sheild (looks like the one pictured above) from jc whitney. Wasn't too expensive and it cleans up the muffler/header connection nicely.
