A windscreen will be a good addition.
Either put on a set of EdL extension plates or find an engine guard and add some highway pegs.
The bike will do fine for the ride. You'll find that even with the additional padding, you'll need to adjust your riding position. The control extensions or a set of highway bars are a god-send for longer rides..
The only other thing I can think of is a nice 3/4 helmet with a full face shield or a full face helmet. Something to keep the bugs from exploding on your face and will reduce the wind noise somewhat.
