This will be my first long trip on the road dose on any have any pointers or ideas that will help me along the way. Thanks for any tips or tricks

A windscreen will be a good addition.

Either put on a set of EdL extension plates or find an engine guard and add some highway pegs.

The bike will do fine for the ride. You'll find that even with the additional padding, you'll need to adjust your riding position. The control extensions or a set of highway bars are a god-send for longer rides..

The only other thing I can think of is a nice 3/4 helmet with a full face shield or a full face helmet. Something to keep the bugs from exploding on your face and will reduce the wind noise somewhat.

Everything I say is fully substantiated by my own opinion.

Posts: 65	Re: First long trip Reply #5 - 06/15/08 at 16:07:43 well here is what i have done i leave tomorrow i bought a memory foam pillow cut it down and bungee corded it to the seat and i have a full face helmet wishing i had highway bars but i guess that's life
