900€ (1430$) for a '95 Savage
almost stock, some visual details, cagiva front wheel\disc\caliper and HD muffler.

600€ (950$  Lips Sealed ) for a stock cam chain and tensioner

400€ (635$) paid by the insurance 'cause of an accident, for custom mirror, taillight, handle bar, raisers, handles grip.

190€ (300$) for some Lancer stuff...  Wink

....plus 100€ (170$) for customs taxes!!!  Angry

And it does not work from October 2006, 'cause oil leak, almost slick tires and many small bureaucratic matters that only an italian can understand!  Angry

WoW.  A thread like this makes me wonder why did I ever buy new???

07 S40  4,250
Tkat Brace 90
Dyna Muff  50
Saddle Bags 60
Bag Braket   40
Driver backrest 150
wind shield 100

I guess I'm at about 4,740 right now, but I still have to move my rear turn signals (maybe replace them) and maybe a few other things.

-Matt

P.S. Hey keithert, what part of northern IL are you in?  I wonder if we ride by the same cornfields.

$593 +or -, for a BRAND NEW 07!!!!

Here`s how....$4000  financed on sale spankin` new `07...meanwhile I worked a deal out [$1000 down and the balance in 3 months to a pal] to jettison a huge pile of old jap and brit stuff, so I made 4 $59 payments.....or $236 to the Suzi company, plus $50 for a used Super Trap, $120 into making a better saddle,$90 to Tkat, $50 for better tail lights, $47 for a luggage rack, probably a few more bucks for whatever small stuff.

I`m into my NEW Suzi for $593. I miss my pile o' junk, but not as much as I like my NEW [well, 3700 miles now] Savage.

My '97 cost $1799. It came with saddle bags, windshield, custom made crash bar, and heated grips. The saddles bags are reinforced with stainless steel sides so they don't sag.

I bought it from it's original owner. He made the crash bar and stainless steel sides himself. He babied the thing so much it literally looks brand new. Not so much as a smudge on it, let alone a scratch.

All I have in it is 6 bucks for a tank of gas.  Smiley

You can see it here http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q292/infrared41/DSC_0076.jpg

I love it.

Well, since I have three of them at the moment, and I've swapped accessories around between them a bit it is somewhat difficult to itemize... But roughly... I have the most in my first 1987 at maybe $1800 total including tags, tax, title and accessories. The two 99s I have less than $1400 apiece into all inclusive. So I've got maybe $4500-$4600 into the three of them and a bunch of extra exhaust, handlebars, risers, tires and batteries and other misc. accessories.

BTW, I'm considering selling the old 87 at a loss. Still under 7k miles!!! Runs great, but needs some appearance TLC. May be some flexibility in what accessories go with: handlebars, risers and seat etc... I let go with it. I'm thinking in the $1400-$1600 range if anyone is interested. I'm in Tulsa, and my email on this site is for real.

About a total of 3K so far. Most of that was in the original purchase. I bought it from a overpriced dealership. I couldn't resist it though, fell in love the first ride.

$3150 for my '06 with 2126 miles at time of purchase.

That included the seller's delivering it to me (130 miles each way by truck).

Bike came with:

OEM windshield
OEM saddle bags
OEM backrest
Sportster muffler
Fresh oil change (synthetic) and minor tune-up for this season's riding.

Add about $216 for Ohio sales tax, and $24 for title transfer fees.
