Trying to identify/find a part
01/09/08 at 10:43:50

Hey guys,

I really like the footpeg/control extention this guy has on his bike.  Any idea where I can find something similar or what the technical name would be.  See the link: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.deforest.de/Su...

Those are called simply, forward controls. You can get them from quite a few differant sources or build your own like most of us are doing. If you look in the thread titled "forward controls" Ed L is attempting to take orders for some that he will be making and selling.

I personally believe forward controls are a good idea, especially if you are taller than the average Savage rider such as me who is 6 foot. I'm making my own out of 1/4 inch diamond plate. Ed L makes his out of aluminum.

There is also a thread in the tech/ref section on how to make your own. http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=tech;action=display;num=1115652141

Yea I like the fender and tire setup too so I wrote the company (fred codlin) and asked them if they still had the part or was it still available.  Still waiting to hear from them.

These forward controls are made by Wilhelm Seeger in Germany.
