Posts: 74 Gender:	savage battery 10/09/07 at 17:52:08 hey everyone, i need to replace my battery in my 1986 savage, as i was looking online i found this bettery: MOTORCYCLE GEL BATTERY -SUZUKI LS650 SAVAGE (ALL) BLVD. how does it compare to the "big crank" battery i here so much about? or should i just take it to the dealer?

IF I had known about the Big Crank 3 years ago I would have gotten one myself. Most likely, the dealer will charge you more for an inferior battery.

I like YUASSA - YTX14AHL-BS. You can go to any battery retailer and ask to cross-reference theit brand to match this battery. Overall You will get significantly better performance than the original battery and the main thing- You don't have to service it.
While You are replacing the battery, do the trick with the jumper lead on the "+" terminal.
