New to the board from Central PA. I'm looking at picking up a Savage LS 650 here, hopefully, in the next week or so.
I've been a car nut for a number of years now. I'm currently driving a Jeep Wrangler (95 YJ) with a few minor modifications done to it... And a 1990 Ford Festiva. My Festiva choice is a little awkward, but I've grown to love them. My dad has had a Festiva since I was 3 or 4... After he was in an accident with his original, he bought another. And when I turned 17, he found one in town that was being sold because a truck had backed into the side of it and the owners didn't want to fix it. My first Festiva was a 1992, in green, with 32,000 miles on it (that was in 2002).
Over the course of 5 years, I dumped over $20,000 into customization of 3 Festivas... I had an accident each winter (2003 and 2004) and then had to start over and rebuild on a new body. The car featured a full bodykit, shaved doors and hatch, european headlights and tail lights, air suspension (which were lated swapped out for a set of Tein coilovers), engine swap, brake swap, ragtop, etc, etc, etc...
My current Festiva has an Escort GT engine swapped under the hood, a bodykit and fiberglass hood. It's stripped inside of everything but the seats and the dash. ran a 15.71 at the track when I didn't know how to drive it (I'm going to add a 100 shot of NX at some point) and it did pretty well in autocross the last events of 2007. My plan for this year is to get better at autocrossing and to get my 15.71 into the 14's.
Love photography (Shooting with a Nikon D200), enjoy nature and the outdoors, hunting (and guns in general), hanging with the family and spending time with my girlfriend of 4 and a half years.
Yeah... that's about it.
