Only stocks regular NGK's.No complaints thats what i run normally.Hears the stinker of the deal,it's about a 30 mile ride
to his little out of the way shop.I felt my right ankle gettin warm through my boot.Wasn't hotroddin, cruisin about 70,weather was 60ish and bike was runnin excellent.Pulled in to the shop, got off an noticed an ugly blue spot had appeared on my jardine muffler.About 2-2 1/2 inches from the
collar. :'( Rode all last year with same jettin same pipe same pod filter same same same...... What happend guys??????
I have blue buster so cleanin it up isn't a prob.

I believe your a tad on the rich side in the mid range - enough to puddle a little fuel right where the muffler expands at the head pipe and your keeping a flame burning right there.

HMM<  that's where the Supertrapp is bluing, has been since before I put the 155 in it. It was bluing there with a 150 main, But, the thing was backfiring & the muffler clamp was a bit loose. N ow, it's not backfiring, & havent ridden enough to see if it's bluing more, Might not can tell,, I do have the irridium. not sure that it makes a difference, sure costs enough to make a difference.

that one of mine that has blued right in the same spot took a long time to do it - it's a single walled jardine - there may really not be much of a way to keep it from it

I don't have any flat spots in the throttle,so i'm guessin the jettin is good.I tightened the header gasket an replaced the
plug.Gonna polish the pipe an see if the plug was the culprit.
Header wasn't loose but i torqued her tight.Got me bummed
cause thats a beautiful pipe  Embarrassed

                                 Thanks Guys

bluing chrome mid-pipe is a badge of honor, it comes from riding.
