A while back someone posted a reprinted article from 2003 I believe about the best beginner bike for under $5000.00.
I thought it was this board and have done several searches but cannot find it anywhere.
Anybody know where I can locate it?
Thanx

The very best beginners bike is one that has sold heaps.
WHEN,not if,You drop it,hit a kerb, neighbours dog, slippery corner you know there are plenty of cheap spares around.
Over here you can do a course & ride any size bike if you have an Open Licence & over a certain age I passed last millenium.
I pulled into a mates shop a while ago as a bloke pulled out on a new FatBoy.
Had his licence for a week & dropped it 3 times already!!
Expensive learner ride.
Dirt bikes are great to learn on as you learn how to controll it with the back wheel spinning & sliding eg oil on road, wet corners, panic stops for trees instead of cages.
Whatever it is don't be concerned about the paint.
