I am new to the site. You guy's are great people. My question is . I thought I saw a home made bike stand, but I am not able to find it . If someone knows please help me find it. Thanks, Great info and thanks for sharing.

Personally, I bought a hydraulic one from JC Whitney.
Have to roll the Savage up on a low brick to slide the lift under the bike, but I really like the ability to get it off the ground far enough for my poor old bones.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

There a couple home-made bike stands in the Technical section.
One of them is in use in my garage right now

I made the home made wooden stand in the tech section - it was easy to make & does the job fine.

I can't recall if the instructions said to put in eye bolts @ each end & use straps but I did & am pretty sure I added that a suggestion to instructions if it was not there already.

Uhh, i hang my savage from the rafters in the garage using a come along and a piece of rope.

If that detail wasn't there, then I'm glad you added it.
They're visible in the photos though...
