What kind of frame is that? Is that a Norton Frame?
Never mind...it's a BSA.

At a quick glance I might mistake that for the legendary BSA Gold Star 500cc

At first, I thought it was fashioned after this sweet little hybrid. Triumph in a Norton frame...

Hey London Thing now that's one cool use for a Savage engine. I ride The Lettuce partly because its got 32 hp and my bike licence is still limited to 34hp but, sentimental old fool that I am, mostly because of that engine. A four-stroke single was what my dad rode, a Matchless 350 to be precise (DMR 781 where are you now?) and The Lettuce is my homage to mum & dad's courting days back in the early 1950's. At 74 mum begged me for a pillion ride and so off we went. She's still a natural and with "go with the bike" as her motto we put in 30 miles or so. She loved it. Is 74 some kind of Savage record for a passenger?
