Input on aftermarket Tach and speedo -NO RANTINGS!

Ok, I want to hear from anyone that has used or is using an aftermarket tach or speedo (sorry no bike computers please)
I want to know what you use(d), (brand, place of purchase, etc) and how well it worked.
I DON'T WANT ANY RANTINGS about a tach doesn't belong on a cruiser, etc. I am building a fully custom Cafe bike with the savage motor in it. IT WILL HAVE A TACH (and chain drive too!) I need to find a tach and speedo that will match that I can mount to the triple clamps I will be using (not a problem) and that perferbably look like the belong with each other. I am currently thinking electronic pickup on both so that I can get rid of the speedo cable from the savage engine and also get rid of the error I will induce if I change the final ratio. I have started looking at what drag specialties carries but I want to hear from anyone that has used a tach.
Thanks!
Paul

Reelthing has one with a tach & a temp gauge that ( I think) replaces the oil filler cap. I would be interested in those mods after I get mine running like I want it.

Here's the tach I use to full satisfaction. Expensive though.
And here's the oiltemp. gauge in stead of the oilfiller plug:
Bit difficult to see when riding.

BTW The OEM speedo goes and the hole in the tank will be closed. Don't know how jet.

I have the cheapest speedometer JCWhitney sells on my Savage at the moment. I believe it was $35 or so. It runs accurate, as far as I've been able to determine. The only flaws are that I haven't gotten around to hooking up the light (makes it hard to ride at night), and the scale (reads for up 120mph, I think) makes it a little difficult to keep within the speed limit at times (almost all of my riding is at 30-50mph).
It looks nice, very simple and clean. That's ir to the right of the tank.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in one pretty and well preserved piece, but to skid in broadside, used-up, worn out, and defiantly shouting 'Geronimo!!!'

I've been using a small engine digital tach from Northern Hydralics for the last two years. Cost was under $30.00 and so far I've had no problems with it.

If you're looking to replace the speedo and add a tach, check out the veypor vr1 or 2. It gives you that and a fuel gage and performance metering. Add a billet case and it looks ok.
