Luckily Kansas passed a law allowing proceed on red for motorcycles. I don't remember the particulars. Something like you have to stop for a reasonable time with no light change and for left turn signals, you have to sit through a complete sequence of lights before proceeding. I ran into a light today that wouldn't turn green for me after the opposing traffic had a left turn light. I was just about to proceed, when a couple of cars came up behind me and tripped the signal.

If I'm alone at the light, I just set my bike sideways over the sensor or ride in circles through all of the lanes' sensor areas. Haven't been stuck at a light in a long time.
