thanks for the brace info. may just make out own (something wild ) to suit the rest of the bike. also top speed, well 180lb rider and (my hubby) and me 115 in sidecar we can cruise freeway 110km no problem but struggle a little on hills . if you want to see mor eon cozy sidecars try thier new website. http://www.cozysidecar.ca/about.htm

First LS650 I've seen in the pages of this mag , and no mention of what kind of bike it is.

Now Geo, settle down. I agree with the "throw your stuff in the back of the truck" attitude but this is the way these people live. It will take more than a "Cozy" to get my wife to ride that close to the ground. Looks Cool.

I have known chopper pilots (2) that have remarked that going from plane to chopper can be done by persons capable of making the adjustment. It's no insult to anyone who may (Me Me Me...) [knee jerk reaction] pull away when leaning into an inbalance or curve.
But what about these steering brace or dampers. Are they really that good or are they for bikes with a few k's on the clock and need some support.

first off sidecars are not for everyone, it was an excellent choice for my wife (gave her more freedom to use bike for work , shoping etc) she does not ride my bike so there is no transition, however i ride both and there is no problem with going between either, just get on and ride. i prefer my bike but when i am on her bike it is sooooooo much fun. steering brace is just for a little added steering stability, w rode without for a while no problem ,damper just makes it smoother. anyways as they say dont knock it till you tried it (you may not go back) happy holidays to everyone

Between 02 and 05 I had a DNEPR MT11 with mounted machinegun that ran on a propane and oxygen bottle hidden in the bustle. A pair of 12 volt solenoid valves some solid state wizardry and a cheap spark coil was all it needed to work. Sounded like the real thing and shot a foot of flame from the muzzle. Lottsa fun and I got a lot of respect from cage drivers. (No crowding my lane, no tailgating, no illegal left turning in front of me. In fact at an intersection even if the cage had the right of way they would wait and wave me through ahead of them. It's amazing how polite cage drivers can be if they have the correct innitiative.
BTW girls loved to ride and shoot it.

I would love to as I still have a few photos. However there is a glitch. I am a computor dummy and do not know how. Additionally, I use a computor at the public library and do not know if it has this function.
I can tell you that I built it from scratch during the winter of 02-03. I was working as a machinist and welder at the time and had access to all the needed materials and tools. I am retired now and live about 2000 miles from that shop and so do not have the rescources to build another yet. The key word is yet. I have recently moved into a place where I now have a garage for work spsce and as my meager retirement income allows, shall be equiping it with lathe , welder, and milling machine. I want to build another of course.
If you ride through the Port Townsend Washington area, stop in at Jim's Honda shop at the edge of town. He has a photo of it there.

I took your advice and contacted Tkat. He said he had one left, so I bought it. He also said the response from the Savage crowd was underwhelming. I think he could be coaxed into building some more if he had sufficient interest from the group.
