Beat a sport bike for the 1st 100 feet

I'm at a light today and a sport bike pulls up. Revs the engine. What's a girl to do. I'm up for it. My stomach did flip flops but I swear I was ahead for a few yards. Yippee.

For a given displacement, a single has a LOT more torque than a multi. Torque is what gets you moving.
I try to explain to people that I drive/ride quick, not fast. I get up to the speed limit quickly, but do not go faster than the speed limit (mostly.) I've had cops overshoot me because they thought I was rolling faster than I was because of how quick I left the line. Which is why I insisted on a Thumper for a motorcycle. Thumpers may not be fast, but they are quick.
And if they say anything about passing you after they got rolling, "well excuse me, but I had to back off when I got to the speed limit!"

LOL, you're drag racing sportbikes ?
Those sportbikes don't pull that hard until the revs get very high. It took the guy you were racing 100 feet to get up into his powerband. Once that happens, whoosh...goodbye...adios...
I'm glad you were able to show him what a Savage will do
They do run quite nice.
