I need a float needle assembly!

I call the dealer and they want $39 for this little pice of brass and rubber tip!

Mine does not look bad... I have seen car needles look way worse than this still working and those systems are under pressure!!

I checked the floats... they float! No holes!

Removed the needle assembly and cleaned the screen...It wasn't dirty!

Re-assembled, adjusted the floats to spec.

The thing ran GREAT last night while the wife rode it on the road for her first time... stop and go practice for 2 hours! Now on my back from PT this morning the darn thing flooded AGAIN!!!

I have had the petcock off and cleaned it out... again NOT DIRTY!
Replaced the fuel hose, it cracked and leaked!

Ran great and now in the last week days after all these repairs were made it just started flooding out!

ALL I can think is the needle HAS to be sticking in the seat body not allowing it to close but I would think the float had enough force to close it!!
The tip is in good condition and after manually working it...it does stop the flow completely when i hold the float in the adjusted position!

I AM READY TO BLOW THIS THING UP!!!

$39 for the needle valve and body assembly!!!???
THAT IS RIDUCULOUS!!!!!!!
This has got to be the the most expensive LITTLE part on the bike!!!

Anyone have a suggestion?
Anyone have an old Carb around?

When I thought my float needle was bad, it turned out to be a leak in the petc0ck's vacuum diaphram.  Did you check the vacuum line for gas?  Shouldn't be any there.
They wanted $54 US for needle and seat at the dealer here.  I found just the needle at a small bike repair shop for $10.

Try running some SeaFoam carb cleaner through it.
3 ounces in a full tank of gas should do it.
