Finally I installed the bags. I made my own brackets as it was written here and painted them black. I had to replace the turn signals to the license plate to make place for the bags. Here are some pictures:

Thank you all. The only thing I worried about was replacing the turn signals. However it really is an easy job when you prepare all the tools and other stuff for the work. For example you need a piece of an L cross-sectioned 20cm long aluminium to fix the signals to the back of the license plate holder.

The brackets are from a 6mm iron bar. I used the dimensions given here:

After these I removed the seats, dropped the saddlebags on the rear fender and put the seats back. I just wanted something I can use to carry things.

And congrats on moving the turn signals! They stuck those things in an insanely awkward spot, didn't they? There's nothing quite like doing it yourself, is there?

Right now my bags are laying against the belt guard and hovering over the brake. After time I know it's gonna scuff. No way I'm paying that much for two peices of metal.

The turn signal replacement steps: - remove license plate - L aluminium cutting, drilling - remove lights, cut wires - lengthen wires and solder to lights - fix lights to aluminium - replace license plate and aluminium

stinger139 Guest	Re: Saddlebags installed Reply #9 - 06/20/06 at 02:23:07 If you have a Taps Plastic store in your area, you can buy these lucite rods in either square or round shapes. Different lengths and thickness's also. You can heat them up and bend them in any shape you want, then when they cool, they are as tough as steel, to a point. make your own brackets for less than $3.
