Pop the clutch

Is it possible to pop the clutch to start the bike? (for an emergency start in case the battery died). I have done this in a car but was wondering about a bike.

Yep. I got to do it the other day. I put it in second, held the clutch in and ran it as fast as I could, hopped on and let out the clutch. Worked like a charm. Of course, I did have a nice big parking lot, so I didn't have to worry about space, either.

Oh My Gosh does that bring back memories Grin
I remember doing that to the Triumph #2 ex & I had. It's tough to do and especially hard when you can barely get your leg over the seat. Sometimes I'd get to push him to start it. One of my tenants has an old Honda that he starts that way,he is glad apt is on a hill
