decompression adjustment
05/06/06 at 01:09:30
Im tuning my bike for the first time. Adjusted the valves and checked for loose head and cylinder bolts. Replaced spark plug. Pretty simple if you just follow the steps carefully in the clymer manual. One thing has me confused and i cant make heads or tails out of how to check the adjustment to the decompression cable or selenoid. My bike is hard starting so I thought this was a good place to begin. Anyone out there might be able to explain how this is done so that even a monkey would understand?

Hey thanks! I wish the Clymer manual had explained that simple! I checked it and its within the correct measurments so I think Ill just leave it alone. It could be my battery. Its old, and altho it shows it holds a charge, its probably not strong enough to crank the bike over after a spell or on a cold morning. once again thanks Bent wheel
