I like the look better. Now I have these openings on the side bars. Undecided See the photo below. Any ideas on how I can make this look better. Any aftermarket parts or homemade remedy?

Bad picture, but that's what I did. It's the luggage rack that Suzuki sells for the savage.

better pic, but you can't see the whole thing

I personally like the sissy bar. As stated above it makes a great place to put your helmet.  Grin Grin

I reckon you could probably cap them off with a couple of pieces of metal bent and drilled to slide in and bolt on.  Undecided

I just put the sissy bar on my S40 yesterday. Now I have somewhere to put my helmet, but where do I put my coffee?
I used to sit my Tim Horton's coffee on the side rail at the turn signal. It sat there perfectly and never fell over (til the time the sprinklers went off and I forgot about it when I moved the bike in a hurry).
I tried the tool box, but the wind caught it and dumped it all over the pipes.
I seen somebody take square aluminum bar, and bend it into a grab bar that just came up to the top of the seat. looked real sharp.

The helmet stays on my head all the while I'm riding or I carry it when off the bike.

I like the grab bar idea. I don't suppose there's a ready made part that wouldwork?

I had my sissy bar off.  I really like the look of the bike without it, but I really need the place to put my helmut while I did up jacket, put on gloves etc.  I ended up putting it back on.  Can't have the best of both worlds I guess.

If anyone would like to see pics of the grab bar I had made out of the stock sissy bar at a machine shop for under $30, email me and Ill send a pic.  It needs to be chromed this winter. Right now I have it painted a chrome color and clear coated. I havent had much time to figure out how to post pics in here as of yet.  chriss@cascadeaccess.com

I thought you guy's were kidding about the helmet. I'm with Seattle Savage and hang it off the handle bars while suiting up.

Does anyone know why my log on character picture is not displayed? I think you'd like it.

Since I finally got the Veypor hocked up on my bike I have been thinking of removing the speedometer and using the hole as a cup holder.

Now here's a man that knows how to be a leader. I've been putting my coffee on top of the headlight between the bars and the windshield. I don't really use the speedo anyway.

My helmet fits on my Flyscreen.

As for your "log on character picture"....  Are you refering to your avatar?
