I bought a trickle charger and hooked a wire up so i could occasionaly charge the bike when set for a time. Now im reading in the clymer manual, never to charge the battery on the bike. The gas discharged while recharging will erode the paint and i imagine anything else close by. Didnt know that, and maybe some in here who also have one might not know that either. My riding buddy uses one all the time, and sure enough , the only paint damage at all is near the battery. The front part of his seat is deteriating also. Just thought Id pass it on. PsssssssssT !!
