Suzuki Savage LS 650 size? (Read 21 times)

jonny chicago Guest	Suzuki Savage LS 650 size? 04/10/06 at 22:36:26 This will be my first bike. I was just curious though if im to big for it. Im about 5'11" and about 185 pounds. Is the savage to small for me? Ive sat on it and felt comfortable. But i havent rode it yet. Dont know if it will feel uncomfortable once im driving? Any input is appreciated Thanks Jon

I'm 5'8" and it is fine, but I've felt much more comfortable on other bikes. Most all are considerably more streched out. But I think the position the Savage puts me in is much better for controlled riding.

I'm 5'11" 180 as well and I like the bike fine. It does feel a bit awkward at first but it really isn't bad at all when you ride it a few times and get used to the bike. Other than moving the foward controls a little more forward (personal preference) and doing the super simple seat mod the bike is pretty great staight "otta the box". Ridability speaking. ( making up my own words now Grin

We built some forward controls and they extend about 5.5 inches. Now my legs can stretch out and it feels great. I also raised the seat an inch and inserted a gel pack inside the foam. Its smooth riding from here on out.

I will be doing the foward controll mod once I get a chance, but other than that everything seems fine for me.

I like driving this bike so much that I've ordered the large gel pad from JC Whit which is so popular that I'm back ordered until at least May 5th. Anyway I'm 5' 10" maybe 165. This is a 1 person bike in my opinion. It's my personal fun machine...
