Made them in the machine shop...

I found the steel rebar laying around in my garage.  Bushings were made from spare steel at the shop.  They are 10.25" long from eye to eye.  We heat treated them too (i.e. got the things red hot all the way through and let them cool off slowly).

Who's gonna coem visit me in the hospital when I get my kidney trasnplant?

I "chromed" and installed them this morning.  Not too sure how I feel about the color of the struts.  What do you guys think?

mine too! - of course the seat should take some impact load

In going with the color pattern I might try a black fade  to red (looks like burnt and pink but my monitor is suspect)
