A Sportster custom? Is that the 883 Sportster you're referring to? Still in the learning states.
Thanks.

Does anyone know if Sportster seats will fit on the Savage? When I say fit, I mean with mounting modifications?

From what I have heard u need to move the mounts on the seat to where the stock suzuki ones are. Im not sure how hard this would be but its a nice seat for sure.

I was in the Honda/Suzuki dealer today and they had a Sportster Custom there. I sat on the seat to check it out. It's very firm and has nice shape where your bottom rests. It felt much better than the Savage seat to me.
What I'm thinking...if a stock Sportster seat will fit with minor modifications...then so will the myriad of aftermarket Sportster seats (Mustang, Corbin, etc.).
Jcbass, give us a good ride report and all the details about the mounting of it.

i shall do, might be a little while, i took the engine out today, hopefully the bike is all back together in a week or so, im painting the fram right now and fixing the oiil cap leak thing. but the seat came in the mail yesterday and im very pleased , but we will see when its on the bike, i love the look they have on the ebay pics so it should turn out well. I can scan the "Mounting Directions" the guy gave me with the seat, and i can post the seat model number and such that are on the back. Ill get back to you guys asap.

well i haven't put the seat on yet, but placing it on the frame with the tank off it looks like it isnt going to fit as well as i want.. wont be bad, but it looks like the middle of it will lift off of the frame before it meets the fender.. ill keep you guys updated though, hopefully it fits well in the end because it wasn't too cheap and i like the look a lot.
