Ok, where is the mixture screw.   I ve got the carb
off, changed the pilot and main jets and I dont see
any idle mix screw.   I see an idle adjustment screw
but no mix screw.  Where is it hiding.   I don't even
see a welch plug to drill out to get access to one.
what am I missing?

yep - down a few pictures

be careful when you drill it - go slow or you hit the adjust screw under the plug and screw it up -

Ok, thanks, i saw that little plug, but thought it was
too small to be hiding a mix screw.   The plug on mine
has a tiny hole in the center of it.

that's it - start with a little bit go real slow and it is likely to start to spin on the bit and pop right out

I found a small sheet metal screw and an appropriate bit to do this.  After I drilled through the brass plug, I tightened the screw in the hole pretty well. THen I use a pair of vice-grips to grab the plug and yanked it right out. Shouldn't be hard to remove, you just have to get a hold on it. .
