After a long story, and two months of repairs and slow rebuild, Thumper is back on the road...   Grin

from the other side... 8)

I fixed the head camshaft, a new set of cylinder rings went in, and miscellaneous parts brought her back to life...  Shocked

All of this happened about a month ago, but I had not been able to take pictures... (Paladin)  Wink

Finally!  Clean.  Pretty.  Don't see a plate.  Is that a tail light under your rear fender?

Well, I only have a plate up front,  8)the rear one is lying on my home desk, waiting for me to make up my mind and boilt it on...  Grin so far, never pulled over, and for renewing permits, I just wire it up...  Wink

Yes, that is a tail light, a cat-eye one  8) forgot to take a shot of that one,  Embarrassed will fix that mistake soon... Wink

thanks for the welcome, I have never been away, just silent...  Cheesy

Well, I have never liked the stock rear light, it's too bulky for my taste...

Those pictures are missing my windshield which I use in cold weather, and maybe some saddle bags I've been longing for... but not sure yet, I like the clean look, too...

Best,

RW

You know what? I always envisioned the 400cc Savage as having a smaller looking engine. After seeing it for the first time, it appears the engine is the same as the 650. Do you know what the bore and stroke is?

You're right.  I kinda figured the same thing and it looks pretty much the same to me too.
