Hmmm what year is ur bike? If its a 95 or higher I would suggest it because they only have a 145 main and 52.5 pilot jet.
Also is your air filter stock? If u plan on upgrading the air filter to a K&N replacement or pod upgrade to a 152.5 or a 155 main. U will also have to rejet your pilot jet to a 55, and while u are in there trying filing down ur white spacer to half its thickness or replacing with small washers to half its thickness. ALSO do a search on white spacer and jets.

Yes b/c there will be more air flow. If you don't your bike will be lean and it's probably lean to begin with if it not very old. Get the K&N while you are at it and do what was suggested. If you get the K&N later you will just have to rejet again. It is worth the money. You will be very happy with your results. First thing you want to do is take the eight bolts out of your carb and find stainless allen replacement from the hardware store. You may also want allens for the two tiny screws inside the carb. Do this first thing and it will save you some headache later. The muffler may not be a simple slipon, but it doesn't take much work. You will need a muffler clamp, pop can shim and a new heat shield if you are picky about how it looks. Hole won't line up either so you will probably have to drill something.
Be sure to set the search function back farther than the preset 7 days. Why is it set up like that anyway MODS. You could search rejet, muffler, stainless, carb, air filter ect.

You can get those shims outta j.C whitney or possiby an H . D. stealer . pop can just refers to the fact that they are thin metal round shims like the cross section of a soadie can. At least thats what I gathered from it. although a homemade shim from a soadie can would probably work . It's not a bad idea to save a few bucks, but those shims are only a couple bucks anyway.
