Dragstar 125 seats on a Savage

My wife's first bike was a brand new Yamaha Dragstar 125.
Very comfortable, but very slow Grin

Last year I bought the "bike she dreamed about when she was young" (hey honey, you're here? ... err... yes, you are still young but.... hey! not the head... ouch) and we decided to let her ride the savage one year and then customise it.

First step ("easiest" one) is to mod a 2nd hand Dragstar's seats to her Savage.

Here are a few pics to give you an idea.
This looks great (in my opinion) and is much more comfortable.

Before (Suz 1993 Savage one)

After (Yam 2001 Dragstar one)

PS: I need to do a new anchor for the passenger seat, but it fits perfectly well too

Looks very comfortable. Suzuki should sell those. I enjoyed my stay in Belgium in 1988. I was at Florennes Air Base for a year & had some good friends in the community.  Smiley

Does it actually bolt right on, or do you have to modify something?  Will the pillon seat fit too?

Man that seat looks great!  Please tell me how you got it to fit?  Did you use the old savage pan or the new Yamaha Dragstar pan?  What sort of hardware did you need to get the new seat to attach to the Savage?

I would love to put my seat on that big comfortable looking Dragstar seat.  That Savage seat is way uncomfortable.

Hmmm... I've got the stock tractor seat from my VStar 1100 classic layin' around...

Too bad it sucks too!   Tongue  I refer to it as the "murder seat."

Greg_650 & lebarle : my wife is gone in a foreign country and she took the camera with her so I'll do some close-up asap (a picture tells thing so much well I can say it).
I didn't change anithing to the Savage (so I can still put the old ones if I wish). I've juste done some anchor to fit the Savage with some piece of metal and screw them to the Dragstar seats with some small screw for plastics.
