COAT AND TIE

Hi- I wear a sports coat and tie (and the other necessary clothes) to work.  Can anyone recommend over jacket & pants setup?? The leather jacket wont fit over the sports coat, and no way to carry the sports coat and wear the leather.  Thank you in advance for your responses.

are you looking for crash protection or just to keep the bugs and mud off? When I need to dress up a bit I'll sometimes slip on the rain suit - but it needs to be cooler than now!

Coat & tie ?? ON a bike??  ???
Take them to work,  then put them on when you arrive, then at the end of the day, put on the leathers, and leave the job & the ties behind Smiley

I second Mr. 650. I carry my coat and tie and dress pants in my saddle bag and then change at work. Luckily I don't have to do this every day. My wife does the same when she's required to wear a dress.

You might try leaving your coat and shoes at work, and covering up the rest as usual for the ride.

Mine's not precisely the same.  In fact, I daresay you'd like it.  It's from a company called WahMaker.  They make period-correct western clothing for reenactments, etc.  It's very good quality.  I just loved this duster so I bought one (mine's a dark brown though).  It works very well and looks great until I put on the helmet and then the effect is shattered.  Some folks may prefer leather though.  If so, check out some of these dusters.

I have to admit that my taste in hats runs a bit less western but it still works.  A fine fur felt Stetson fedora is my preference, though crushable wool felts do serve a purpose.  Mine is like the one below, though mine is a dark brown they called bronzine.

Very good idea.  They are available everywhere.  I've even seen 'em at Academy Sports.

And welcome Papa_Thump!

i say you get your self a really nice backpack. Fold up the stuff nicely so it doesn't wrinkle. Buy a bottle of that instant iron stuff and tote it in your backpack.
