Don't know the exact size of the fuel line, so I'd just take the old piece to your local auto parts store and let them deal with it. It won't be the first dirty part they've seen.
If you're gonna get an Amal carb from Lancer, he's including a new throttle cable and air filter with the kit. That's on my wishlist.
There's some slack in the cables, but how much is anybody's guess. You're gonna have to try that one with a buddy. Unscrew the caps from the risers you've got, have your buddy hold the bar up, and see how the cables and brake hose look. If it's not gonna work you can just put the screws back. No blood, no foul.
